About us
Copyleft Solutions is a group of companies focused on the use and development of free software. We are based in Norway and in Mexico with over 40 employees, and we have been active under the Copyleft brand since 1998.
Our focus is the development and use of free software, so much so that the Norwegian half of our company is required by its by-laws to always let the software it develops be free software.
What's in the name?
Copyleft is a play on the word copyright to describe the practice of using copyright law to offer the right to distribute copies and modified versions of a work and requiring that the same rights be preserved in modified versions of the work.
